DiverCity in Tucson

Since moving to Arizona, I have enjoyed traveling around the state and meeting new people. I especially love the welcoming attitude in Tucson, so of course I was happy when a friend offered a ride down to photograph willing people and their words.

I look forward to the upcoming IFGE conference in April and photographing more people in Tucson, and from all over! If you plan to attend the conference and would like me to photograph you, please read the FAQ and then write to me. In the mean time, on to more from my February trip to Tucson!

In honor of Fat Tuesday, I thought I'd take a moment to put up some drag pics! These are some members of the Grand Canyon Sisters.

If you missed it, the main post for this week was Men, Male, Sir, Stud, and it's raining men over in that post, check it out! But since it's Mardi Gras, here's an especially flowery entry just for you:

Male - December 2007 - Phoenix, AZ

Tall, blonde, dark and lean, rough and tough and strong and...well no one was mean!
See the Opportunities - December 2007 - Phoenix, AZ

This whole photo project was started with the thought what do people mean when they say "real men don't ________" and what do real men really do? It has grown to also include women, genderqueer people, and all human beings I come across who are willing to be photographed. But for this week I thought I'd share some of the men of Gender DiverCity.
Human Be-ing - December 2007 - Phoenix, AZ

This week's photographs are of some of the many I shot thus far which you haven't seen on this blog until now.

Bear Sir - December 2007 - Phoenix, AZ

And include people from all over the map. Straight, gay, bi, and queer men. Men identified as male since birth and always have known that label to fit, and those who took a little more work to get there. Skinny men, fat men, men with muscles and without, men with stereotypically male chests, and those not quite so typical.
Gynocomastia - January 2008 - Phoenix, AZ
